Centro Pizza in Guilford

Just moved to Guilford. So excited to have found such a tasty stand-by so quickly. Centro has kept us so well-fed while we've been unpacking.

I have eaten many times at Centro (which in Italian means the center, usually the center of a town). Yes there is one waitress who is a pain. But the rest are very attentive. We have always have had great service and great food. The owner, I think, usually comes around and asks how thing are. I would recommend this place for a fine, yet typical, Italian restaurant. I especially love the thin crispy crust pizzas. My waiters was Mimi and she was fabulous. I don't what E. Smith was talking about!

This establishment allowed a family of color to be harassed because of their race and did nothing. The family left and the individual continued to be serviced. This is terrible. I will not give my money to an establishment that supports racism, and bigotry.

Good pizza. Nice spot on town green. Chicken, sausage and hot peppers good. Hands on, friendly owner. Avoid the one high strung waitress!

After months being stuck inside, and cooking, we’ve recently gone back to work outside the house. While I pride myself over my Chicken Rollatini, I have to say, you beat me, hands down! We are your new fans!

Awesome salads, soup portions large. Friendly staff, I have had sandwiches, pasta, and desserts. Haven't found anything yet I don't like.

Best pizza in town! If you eat in the restaurant you will be treated with excellent hospitality by the manager Ralph. A bonus is the amazing view of Guilford’s storybook green from the two giant picture windows. Besides pizza, they have delicious specials and Italian specialties like eggplant Parmesan and chicken Florentine. They also have a wine and beer menu and kids meals. Easy place to take the family for lunch or dinner.

My family eats at Centro all the time. I have never had a bad waitress on any visit. The manager, Ralph, is the nicest guy you can meet. Always attentive and wanting to please.Ralph is ALWAYS on his best behavior as his mother is a waitress, and also a delight. Tonight i got take-out. I said 6pm. I showed up a few minutes early and it was ready to go. Their timing is great, even eating in I never have to waite, unless they are busy. I would, and have, recommend Centro Pizza to anyone looking for a good, friendly Italian restaurant. Thank you!!

Phones don't work. People are rude. They gave us 2 bogus numbers to call to say when to pick up order.

Pizza was much better than expected! Nice amount of toppings over a crispy crust. I ate veggie with red sauce, plain mozzarella, and the tomato pie. All were very good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a large crowd with children. I was hesitant to go but would recommend to others and return again in the future

I’ve been ordering pizza from Centro’s for months but never actually went in for a meal until today. Excellent Vodka Penne - in fact, the best I’ve ever had. Every part of the meal was delicious. Good prices too. The Manager, Ralph, was very hospitable. I have found my go to Italian restaurant in Guilford.

I really like this place

I had just made my way into CT and stopped here for a bite... they quickly volunteered to prepare food that wasn't even on the menu (I had stopped with something specific in mind). They were fairly quick and it was delicious. The staff were very pleasant, the price is fair. I'd recommend giving this place a try.

This place is pretty much what one would expect from a generic Italian place. I got penne and meatballs, which was a little bland (which wasn't all that surprising). I also tried a bite of the tortellini alfredo which was similarly boring. At the end of our meal the waitress actually asked me if I was sure I didn't want to mop up the rest of the sauce from my dish with the bread; the sauce tasted like a generic marinara sauce from the grocery store, I declined.I didn't try the pizza, which is apparently very good. I have to admit I'm skeptical, but if I'm in the area again I may try it.

Very, very good pizza. Driving through while on vacation & our group enjoyed the crust, fresh ingredients & quality mozzarella. Friendly staff. Fairly priced.

Friendly staff and owners. Ralph the owner is a talented bartender. Stop in for pizza lunch and have a chat and a glass of nice red wine.

I have to be real... Super disappointed by the pizza. Very little flavor. Crust was mediocre. And almost $40 for a large and a small, just a shame.

The Pizza isn't bad, nothing different from any other pizza place. But the service is a bit scummy. They should want to give great service to their customers, but they just seem like they don't care very much. The place could use some enthusiasm. Thanks Centro, but never again.

Pizza is good. Thin crust, good amount of toppings and good variety of pizza. Been here a few times and will continue to go. Small and quaint atmosphere.

Just a nice place to relax with friends and enjoy a slice. The staff is VERY friendly, make sure to say hi to Ralph the manager. He is one of the nicest people I know in town. Even throws a free slice my way once in a while!

Today a friend and I who are not local to this town decided to stop by and give it a try during our lunch break. Our server was Ralph. He was very knowledgeable and helpful as we looked over the menu. He was patient as we tried deciding what we wanted. I ended up choosing the crozone. By far one of the best i have tasted in CT. The sauce was amazing. The place was clean and well kept. Ralph came and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. He took the time to even get to know a little about us and make us feel at home. My family and I are huge pizza fans and I'm Definetly bringing them by. Great service and food

Love this place. My husband n I ran into Centro on one of our Sunday rides. Loved that they had gluten free pizza n delish! I went yesterday again not knowing where we were going n had lunch n great again. Thank you

I went there for lunch today and had a shrimp salad. The salad consisted of five grilled shrimp, romaine lettuce and cucumbers for $18! The salad was ok but the price was sky high. I won't be eating lunch from there again.

Nice place for lunch in a great little New England town.

The pizza is really good. Thin crust. High quality sauce and cheese. Very friendly staff. My only negative is that they won't let you call ahead an order for dine-in, so it usually takes a while to get your pizza. Take-out is usually only 15-20 minutes, however.

Marinara sauce was terrific - like homemade. White clam pizza was superb - right amount of garlic, thin crust...Waiter was busy, yet remained polite when party of four decided after they had eaten that they needed separate checks. Really. I'll definitely be back!

Decent pizza and Italian food. Calzone was pretty good, pizza was alright, but the crust wasn't that good. Overall, cheap place that is good for a quick bite to eat. Not a huge place, and could get pretty busy.

The centro plain pizza was amazing 😍😍! I'm from the new haven area and know pizza. The flavors of the sauce and the crust were right 👌🏽. We were treated with nothing but respect and kindness. I'm not sure about these other reviews citing racism and bigotry. I witnessed Ralph opening the door for a woman of color struggling with her stroller. If you're in the area give this place a try!!

Great service, best location, good storefront view to the green.We ordered two pizzas, we thought they were good not great. It is difficult to qualify a good pie when you have so many options in town and all of them good, different choices for different taste buds.Will not go back.

Good food, great service, but felt that Mimi was laughing at us and making fun of us with another worker as we we’re talking pictures.

Salads are amazing. Pizzas and sauce can't be beat. We come from Trumbull and Old Saybrook to eat the delicious food.
